Bourbon was born and raised in southern Florida. He came to Rosenthal at the ripe age of five after his breeder, a long time friend of Ana, John Alvarez, had called her, hoping to find a new home for this promising young colt. Coming from lines including Anton and Fokke, Ana couldn't resist such an opportunity, as she was hoping to develop a breeding program for Rosenthal. At the time, she had also hired a new trainer, Cain Delacroix, whom provided Bourbon with a new focus: dressage. He has since made a name for himself. As a competitor, he moves with ease, with purpose, and with grace. Today he is without a doubt, the face of Rosenthal.

Around the barn, though, Bourbon is about as lax as a stallion can get. He's very obedient, which makes handling him a breeze, but when it comes to feeding time, he's a piggy and our barn staff has had their run with him a few times.
